Head of Procurement Caricam

Main Job Purpose:

Responsible for Caricam End to End Procurement Strategy, business partnering business to deliver Procurement solutions that support growing business needs. Take ownership and implement long-term and short term plans.

Key capabilities include strategic sourcing, comprising market prospecting, strategic selection, legal contracting, and ability to engage with cross function business teams to deliver Procurement solutions that support the growing business needs.  Continuous improvement in: cost, service levels, quality, SHE, responsible sourcing and resilience must be systematically developed and improved.

• Create and implement the procurement Strategy and lead the team in the Caricam business.
• Provide procurement business partnering in project delivery and E2E operations through our procurement model with GEP
• Represent Procurement function in Cross-Functional project teams.
• Lead structured supplier scouting and development, ensuring quality, SHE and financial standards are complied with.
• Lead all commercial negotiations related to suppliers.
• Build a robust business relationship aimed to ensure successful implementation of all improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop and deliver cost-improvement initiatives to improve margins.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver the CariCam material resilience strategy
• Prospecting and selecting the right suppliers for the specific business needs
• Service quality and for driving a demanding business agenda
• Ensure supplier compliance: quality, social responsibility, SHE
• Develop and maintain a robust business relationship with suppliers to support business growth
• Regular review with suppliers on projects and day-to-day operations, ensuring timely execution and updating Unilever stakeholders on progress
• Drive savings through E2E procurement
• Provide material price forecast visibility to CariCam LT
• Measure and manage overall performance of suppliers in conjunction with stakeholders
• Awareness and understanding of local laws and legislation when delivering projects and on day-to-day operations, to mitigate risk for Unilever.

Essential:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Procurement or other Supply Chain areas
• Experience with project, supplier, and stakeholder management
• Team alignment, personal accountability, Action not Debate, active engagement, perseverance, and flexibility
• Good communicator, passionate, entrepreneurial, target driven.
• Negotiation and financial skills
• Project management, change management, information management, with fluent spoken English and Spanish

Preferred:

• Experience with negotiation and contracting
• Knowledge of CARICAM market
• Evidence of capabilities in catalysing and leading change and transformation
• Evidence of ability to work in virtual teams and global/regional environments
