  • Beauty & well-being Business group, which includes categories such as Hair care, skin Care, Prestige Beauty, and Health and well Being. This portfolio includes iconic power brands such as Clear, Sunsilk, Dove, Tresemme and Vaseline  

  • Personal Care Business group, which is formed of a portfolio of categories such as Oral care, Deodorant and skin cleansing which is used daily by consumers all over the world to bring hygiene and drive skinification and beauty.

  • Foods Business group including undisputed leading brands in foods market such as Knorr and Hellmann Brands that brings pleasurable food experience in every home. 

  • Home care Business Group with a portfolio of brands such as OMO, Comfort and Jiff which are leaders of Fabric leaning, Fabric sensation and home and Hygiene in many markets. 

Levant & Iraq Business Unit.

Leavant & Iraq (L&I) Business unit is an integral part of total NALI 1Unilever cluster. L&I is almost 20% of the total NALI business with a massive headroom for growth given our leadership of Foods category with Knorr Brand, our competitive edge on Hair care with Clear, Sunsilk as well as Lifebuoy brands which gave us leadership in a big country like Iraq, this is in addition to our Iconic Signal brand that has been the source of driving protection to the teeth of million of families across L&I.

Levant & Iraq Beauty and Wellbeing (B&W) and Personal Care (PC)

B&W & PC are the largest two business groups within Unilever NALI as well as within Unilever Levant and Iraq.  They are comprising of five small Categories which are: Skin Cleansing, Hair Care, Skin Care, Oral Care & Deos. It is a growing business with iconic global brands like Dove, Lux, Singal & Sunsilk amongst others.

B&W & PC categories is almost 70% of the total Levant & Iraq business with a massive headroom for growth given our undisputed leadership of on Deodrants & Oral care with Signal Iconic power brands, IN addition to our competitive position in hair and skin cleansing with brands such as Clear, Sunsilk & Lux brand which leads the conversion to liquid in Skin cleansing.  BPC has been the source of profitability and Growth for the business unit for the last years. Our growth strategy and ambition is to Accelerate the total business with consistent growth via the following:

IN B&W: Solidify Core Power Brands Shampoo Leadership by revamping core superiority with bolder claims and driving Brand’s Equity by increasing relevance & desirability via Moments that matters on relevant social media channels.  While choicefully Build Postwash in high growth segments as well as expand our portfolio in Skin care.

IN PC: Accelerate Liquid conversion under the Lux power brand while owning ever lasting frangrance. Drive Differentiation on Siganl through whitnening to bridge share gap on advanced segment. Continue to drive Rexona as undisputed leader of the Deodrant Segment while Building dove as premium PC Brand.

JOB PURPOSE

Unilever is looking for a succefull marketeer with a strong point of view to Lead its Hair and Oral care categories which represent more than 40% of its BPC portfolio in Levant and Iraq region. L&I HAIR & ORAL ASSISTANT Category Marketing Manager is a Key role responsible for developing, planning and executing categories’ strategies, ensuring that Brands’ messages is effectively communicated to our consumers and shoppers. Potential candidate will lead multiyear innovations for both categories, and activation that elevate consumer experiences. This role involves handling multiple stakeholders (regional and global) and managing priorities and schedules. As part of the BPC team you will add value to the business via deep consumer & category understanding & identifying upcoming trends. This is then further finetuned with sharp business acumen leading to accomplish our BPC ambition.

You will learn from brilliant business leaders and colleagues in a truly global and diverse culture to ultimately become a better you. Potential candidate should have an analytical mindset with strong quantitative reasoning skill and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues leading to thoughtful recommendations & action plans. At the same time also be creative and operate entrepreneurially & be a strong collaborator to navigate across a matrix of cross functional teams with a delivery mindset. Prior experience of digital & data driven marketing and e-commerce will be a major advantage. then this role is just for!

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Main Job Scope:
Responsible for leading and implementing all marketing activities on Hair care and Oral Care for Levant and Iraq Region.

Job Main Responsibilities:

  • BMs Leads Innovations with Regional teams or based on Glabal Cascade

  • Approves brand ATL plans for the brand

  • Owns A & P for the brand

  • Controls brand’s/ country P&L

  • Leads brand marketing plan

  • Anticipates current and future consumer trends and hence, opportunities

  • Analyses market trends and growth drivers and prepare plans to tap into those drivers and win in market.

  • Proactively anticipates competitor actions (e.g. price increase from competitors)

  • Understands each market dynamics across L&I and plans and activates the brand according to those dynamics.

  • Works with Below the Line (BTL) agencies to deliver exciting activation in the market to the consumers

  • Takes part in consumer emersion programs where one meets/interviews consumers to develop close marketplace connections with the consumers

  • Responsible for the category finacials, profit margins and budgets

  • Understands pricing of the brand and pricing vs. competition

  • Responsible to manage large budgets in terms of spend and cost allocation (e.g. agency cost, sampling cost)

  • Manages the promotional investment budget and manages the promotional intensity of each market with the country contacts. (e.g. price promotions-manage the type, appearance, 2+1 free or 20% discount)

  • Judges the creative submissions from the agencies and evaluates effectiveness

  • Assists the Category Manager in working with the regional team to ensure timely roll out of innovation mixes.

  • Responsible for launch planning, implementation, and evaluation of the innovation mix.

  • Part of the innovation projects associated with the brand

  • Responsible of brand management in terms of intervening when issues occur on stocks, sales etc. in work with customer development and customer marketing team to address issues, set action plans and follow up on implementation

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

Minimum 4-5 years in Consumer Marketing in the FMCG sector.Prior digital marketing experience is a Plus Demonstrated experience in conducting business across multiple- complex projects & strategiesProactive approach in resolving problems and challengesResult driven and consumer orientedExperience working in a multicultural and diverse environment Campaigns deployment and products launches
