SEA Rigids Procurement Manager + VCI

Scope: Regional – SEA (Focus on Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam)

Location: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Portfolio Procurement

• •Responsible for the rigids portfolio in Greater Asia, including but not limited to the three countries Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines

Value chain Intervention (VCI) – Cap Hub

VCI – Cap Hub project, in an essence, is the creation of a new Rigids production hub in Vietnam & India, support and service for global demand and innovations

• Responsible for deploying the project on-time-in-full with key milestones: (1), fully deployed phase 1 in 2025, (2) full proposal of phase 2 & total scope 
• Create a global Operation framework for the hub to fully captivate the synergized and economy of scale benefits

Strategy

• Responsible for deploying the global 3-5 strategy, aligned with global rigids strategy, Business Groups and linked to BU innovations.
• Competitive supplier selection or development within the responsible countries
• Benchmarking & best practices -identify metrics, tools, and process to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies.
• To support in delivering Unilever ‘s multi-year commitments on sustainable sourcing of plastics -the environment, well-being, and social imperatives in the procurement of materials and services.
• Initiate and drive large global change management projects e.g., Complexity reduction projects (e.g., harmonisation of specifications and suppliers), resilience.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Effective supplier communications and engagement in key programs
• New supplier scanning and supplier, supply market development.
• Define partnerships for value, growth, and innovation in with key suppliers and start-ups.
• Lead and own the relationships with key suppliers across the BUs in the partnership segmentation framework.
• Measure and manage overall performance of suppliers.

Business partnering

• Partnering with global BG and Regional BU Procurement to achieve business goals, deliver value creation innovations, helping the global rigid portfolio to deploy the strategy

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

ESSENTIAL

• University degree Masters degree preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain
• Expert buying, negotiation, and contracting skills.
• Strategic sourcing, portfolio strategy expertise
• Supply market and FMCG knowledge.
• Experience on large-scale project management roles.

PREFERRED

• Experience in packaging procurement
• Experience in operations- end to end portfolio management including service and quality.

Skills

An ideal candidate is expected to have

• Strong analytical skills
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
• SAP and Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge (advantage)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English

The below Procurement skills will be an added advantage.
