Job Purpose

As the Assistant Engineering Manager for Foods 3P, you will be responsible for managing and improving the engineering performance of third-party manufacturing sites. You will ensure that Unilever’s standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability are upheld, while driving continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide engineering support and guidance to 3P factories to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

  • Project Management: Lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), energy usage, and maintenance costs.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure 3P sites comply with Unilever’s safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives through Lean, TPM, and digital tools.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, Procurement) and external partners to ensure seamless operations.

  • Innovation Support: Collaborate with R&D and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions and process innovations at 3P sites.

Candidate Criteria:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles, preferably in FMCG or food industry.

  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers or suppliers is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.

  • Project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive insights.

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Additional Information:

  • This role will require you to be mobile and visit several third-party manufacturing sites across Indonesia.
