CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & PURPOSE:
You will be part of our Category Strategy & Planning team working out of our local Copenhagen office. You will be an integral part in building, developing and maintaining credible, long term, category lead relationships both internally & externally. In addition, you will be the voice of the consumer and shopper in the organization delivering actionable insights that unlocks and deliver value for the category and for our customers. You will be the category expert and turn insights into actions with best-in-class execution, analysis, and evaluation of category plans. You will manage the end-to-end path, delivering range reviews with customers and providing leading edge Category Management solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilise the Category Growth Model to develop customer and category growth opportunities enabled by category understanding and actionable insights. Tailoring the Category Growth Model to the customers by delivering bespoke customer initiatives using a shopper first approach.
- Utilize and understand multiple data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, Household Panel, market demographic data, EPOS and loyalty data) and partner closely with agencies to identify appropriate insights to generate recommendations for category & range reviews.
- Understand how the shopper is shopping the category and identifying opportunities for both consumers, shoppers and customers. Bringing the shopper & consumer view to the Ice Cream Business Unit, supplying the insights and recommendations into identifying new innovations, price positioning, evaluating promotional plans and building Joint Business Plans.
- Monitor implementation and review of range recommendations enabling SKU optimization and optimum product mix.
- Coordinate the new product launch process to customers by adapting trade stories and trade presentations to local conditions and needs, delivering key category/customer reporting and ad hoc analysis as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
As the ideal candidate you have a passion for Ice Cream, insights, analysis, consumers & shoppers and have a natural talent for identifying growth opportunities. Your well-developed interpersonal skills enable you to build strong working relationships across the organisation and with our customers.
Furtermore we are looking for
- 3+ years’s professional experience from the FMCG industry in a Category Manager role or similar like Sales, Marketing or finance/data & analytics
- A positive, self-going, proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Data-driven thinking and strong analytical skills
- Strong project management and planning competencies
- Structured and the ability to work with several tasks and processes simultaneously.
- Ability to present detailed market data in a simple and comprehendible format conveying actionable insights
- Strong communication skills to enable efficient communication to all levels in the organization – from field sales to sales management and senior management.
- Experience with Nielsen and YouGov/GfK
- Solid MS Office skills (especially Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI)
Please note that fluency in Danish and English is needed for this role.
