ABOUT PROCUREMENT Part of the Supply Chain’s family, Procurement is responsible for 38 B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 50,000 suppliers. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand business requirements, bring supplier innovation to meet changing consumer needs and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. We’re at the forefront of digital procurement, bringing new tools and analytics to drive data-based decisions. ABOUT MBS MBS, Unilever’s Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of BGs, BUs, and functions to drive the priorities of our Growth Action Plan through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s business strategies. Within the Business Services portfolio, there are 2 global directors managing an overall annual spend of approximately 3 Billion Euro and a full team of 80+team members. MBS Procurement in Pakistan Turkey Arabia Bangladesh (MBS PTAB) is responsible for over€ 460 Mi (including media) of services spend with more than 2700 suppliers. In these markets UL TO is €2.3bn and UL material spend sits at €1bn. Most of High-Risk Markets are in PTAB and procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employees’ and customers’ needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. Responsible to deploy Global Portfolio Strategy provided by the global leads and program independently while ensuring the local strategies are being respected serving as a connector towards the stakeholders. The MBS Procurement lead Bangladesh is responsible for over € 43,3 Mi (including media) of services spend with more than 386 suppliers. This position part of the Marketing & Business Services, under supervision of the newly appointed MBS PTAB Lead based out of Turkey. About the role: You will support the operational execution of sourcing activities across Marketing, Business Services, and IT portfolios. This role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth day-to-day procurement processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting compliance with sourcing policies. Key responsibilities include: • Partner in executing local sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier onboarding, and contract administration. • Support negotiation preparation by gathering relevant data and documentation. • Maintain procurement systems and tools (e.g., eProcurement platforms), ensuring accurate and timely updates. • Track and report savings and benefits in alignment with finance sign-off processes. • Coordinate with Supplier Ops to ensure transactional procurement activities are completed efficiently. • Prepare spend analysis and supplier segmentation reports to support strategic planning. • Ensure documentation and contracts are properly archived and comply with legal and finance requirements. • Provide operational support to stakeholders on MBS sourcing guidelines and tools. • Escalate issues to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and assist in resolution tracking. • Collaborate with global and regional teams to support implementation of preferred supplier lists and rate cards. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED • Strong understanding of procurement processes and tools. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Good analytical skills to support spend analysis and reporting. • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • Strong communication and coordination skills to work with internal stakeholders and suppliers. • Familiarity with Bangladesh market dynamics and supplier landscape is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or related field. • 3 – 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing operations, preferably in indirect categories. Skills • Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba or similar). • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions. • Basic negotiation and contracting knowledge. • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn. • Fluent in English and Bangla (written and spoken).
