JOB PURPOSE:
Who says the world’s biggest ice cream company only has to sell ice cream? Introducing our new business development incubator responsible for expanding our footprint into adjacent categories and demand spaces. We are looking for an intelligent, innovative, and entrepreneurial leader with a penchant for outside-the-box thinking. This position will require creative thinking (identify blue sky opportunities and new categories for growth), analytical thinking (evaluate opportunities and model financial business cases), project management, and entrepreneurial spirit. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with ambiguity.
As we embark on our journey to become a standalone ice cream company, this is a new frontier role to deliver our value creation goals and become a true global snacking leader.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate Brand Manager for New Business Development & Licensing will be responsible for extending our ice cream brands into new demand moments and growing our licensing portfolio:
- Analyze new category dynamics to identify category expansion opportunities with largest size of prize, lowest barriers to entry, and permission for our Ice Cream brands to win
- Partner with R&D and CMI to develop new product propositions and packaging
- Develop and execute licensing innovation funnel
- Partner with Consumer Marketing Insights team to identify new ways of testing and planning consumer learning plans
- Lead cross functional team to take product ideas from concept all the way through production to retail shelves
- Partner with cross functionals to develop innovative new routes to market and manufacturing capabilities.
- Embrace “Lean Startup” mindset to build pilots to “fail fast” and quickly test our brands’ viability in new categories
- Explore digital platform opportunities for how to bring new brands, innovative formats to the marketplace
- Leverage AI to efficiently develop marketing assets

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree required, MBA a plus
- 2-3 years’ experience in CPG innovation, Consulting, M&A Due Diligence, or venture capital
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of digital and e-commerce
- Clear demonstration of successful, consistent delivery to the business
- Clear demonstration of project management & leadership skills
- Experience working with agencies and media partners
- Experience working with different customer channels
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to provide innovative approaches in a team-based structure
- Ability to deliver both verbal and written communication in a simple, compelling manner.
- Ability to think strategically, both from a brand and portfolio view
Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
