Background & Purpose of the Job

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Ice Cream Customer Business Manager and the broader teamin delivering proactive analysis and insights, completing and submitting contracts and forms, monitoring business performance, developing sales presentations and actioning on opportunities and risks to grow the businessThis is a developmental role, and successful candidates will gain the skillset and experience needed to advance to future business manager rolesStrong interaction between both internal and external stakeholders is required.

What You’ll Do

The position will require advanced skills in analysis, project management and proficiency in Microsoft Office with exceptional Excel skills. The Sales Analyst is expected to quickly become proficient in data systems such as IRI/Circana, Numerator, and retailer specific platforms. The Sr. Sales analyst is responsible for weekly analysis and reporting of sales trends, shopper analysis, competitive activity and creating actionable insights from the analysis of these trends. The Sr. Sales Analyst is expected to regularly meet customer deadlines for weekly or monthly sales plan submissions and other ad hoc requests.Additionally, the Sr. Analyst should be ready to create and present sales ready presentations to the Customer, Brands and Internal teams.

The ideal candidate manages these changing priorities and ensures customer and internal deadlines are met.
You’re a dot connector: The position will require the ability to retrieve and analyze many different data points from multiple sources and have business acumen to connect these data points quickly to identify emerging trends, determine the resulting business implications and clearly communicate these findings.
You have an owner’s mindset: The ideal candidate will see thecategory they work on as their own business and have a strong sense of accountability and responsibility to the business. They will be proactive in looking for ways to grow the business and offer solutions and ideas. They will identify issues quickly and effectively work to prevent them in the future.
• You have a team mindset: In partnership with the Customer Business Manager, the ideal candidate will interact with the retailer and Unilever internal teams to develop a relationship, and lead communication around business operations and data insights.
You’re a changemaker: The ideal candidate focuses efforts on continuous improvement, work simplification, and the elimination of non-value-added work that will more effectively produce quality results
You’re an effective communicator: The position will require timely communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate doesn’t just present the problem, they have connected the dots on several different solutions and where possible is empowered to make decisions on their own.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Must have a growth mindset and a passion for winning.

  • Prior experience in the CPG industry is preferred.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, internally and externally.

  • Must be detail orientedthat works effectively in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.

  • Must have strong relationship building and project management skills.

  • Must be fully proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI and other applications a plus

  • Prior working knowledge of POS reporting systems preferred (Nielsen, IRI/Circana, Customer-Specific) and Sales Planning Systems.

  • An undergraduate degree is required.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $99,760 to $149,640. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
