Associate Procurement Manager- Farmed Ingredients & Animal Proteins

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Ingredients and Animal Proteins portfolio for North America 

• ​Develop and implement sourcing strategies ensuring cost competitiveness, resilience and sustainability 

• ​Lead negotiations with suppliers 

• ​Monitor market trends and movements to inform cover decisions

• ​Provide the business with accurate price forecasting, which includes understanding market conditions, price trends and future market trends to enable proper budgeting.

• ​Drive Unilever's Sustainablity agenda for the portfolio (Sustainable Sourcing, Regenerative Agriculture, Climate and Livelihoods)​ 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• UBachelor’s degree

• Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain

• Track record of working on cost savings and business value projects

• Strong analytical skills- being able to calculate financial impact, understand cost structure, conduct sensistivty analysis and more.  This means being comfortable with numbers, understanding cost drivers and using data to inform decisions.

• Strong negotiation skills

• Problem solving- whether in a day-to-day task or developing value chain interventions to drive competitiveness. 

• Strong communication skills, ability to engage and influence others internally and externally.

• Initiative taker with strong accountability, responsibility and leadership skills.

• Result oriented with outstanding level of agility.

• Proactive and able to work independently and virtually.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree

• Minimum 5 years work experience
