JOB PURPOSE

Then look no further…  This role gives you the opportunity to set the agenda for connecting SHE processes, data and digital systems. Driving value through the delivery of business functional requirements via a well-designed roadmap of opportunities.

In this role you will be the business subject matter expert defining the business requirements and change management to implement key IT digital capabilities and improvements. 

Working in the SHE(Safety Health and Environment) Capabilities team you will be joining a small growing community of SHE digital experts delivering the next generation of SHE capabilities to support the business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Translate SHE strategy and stakeholders’ environmental performance and functional needs to develop a clear vision for future environmental products. Define and drive the business digital environmental priorities. Lead improvement projects to upgrade the capabilities and drive efficiency, accuracy, and visibility of the environmental data.

In this role you will have a specific area of focus with the SHE Digital project and expertise requirements split across the roles.

This role is specifically working on the environmental digital agenda and will be responsible for managing a project from a business/product owner perspective to replace our existing environmental reporting tool that is used by more than 500 sites to enter environmental metrics for internal and external reporting and performance tracking.

Working with the Environmental reporting team, environmental capabilities team, regional super users and the IT organization, you will drive the delivery of the product to ensure requirements are fully built out and delivered.

Tasks will include

Programme/Project Management

  • Manage a User Network
  • Manage and engage the Subject Matter Expertise community
  • Ensure project governance is in place and operating
  • Implement new environmental reporting tool throughout the organization
  • Develop and track delivery of the benefits case
  • Escalate issues

Design solutions for business needs

  • Act as business requirements/Product Owner
  • Gather and develop business requirements and user stories, taking a holistic end to end view of requirements.
  • Establish business resources for testing activities and the testing plan
  • Establish implementation and roll-out plan

Stakeholder engagement & Change Management plan

  • Oversee the stakeholder engagement and change plan
  • Actively engage the user network and broader stakeholder community
  • Develop and roll-out training materials

  • Education/background MSc data science, finance, ghg accounting, engineering

Experience Required:

  • Leading project teams
  • Experience of managing processes and systems as a business owner / product owner (or acting as a senior business analyst on requirements definition)– working closely with IT to deliver.
  • Business lead in delivery on SHE process changes at sites
  • Experience of delivery using the Agile methodology, working DevOps and managing Scrums
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to influence and deliver through peers effectively
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective collaboration skills and experience with navigating large organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of the external market for SHE tools.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate. 

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down. 

What can I do?
