JOB PURPOSE

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Customer Marketing Executive to join the Unilever Food Solutions team. You will be reporting into a Customer Marketing New Business Lead. Working in a high performing team, with a lot of exposure to internal stakeholders, while working with our customers to deliver the best-in-class campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a great balance between being creative and being a strategic planner. As a Customer Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for designing strategies that will attract new customers, deliver exceptional experiences and optimise multi-touchpoint campaigns that drive leads through the sales pipeline. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Data & CS&P teams to optimise and harness all this professional expertise for accelerated business growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development of channel strategy to deliver success against key growth metrics, working closely with brand marketing, trade and CD colleagues to define the vision and tactics across the full channel basket of products.
  • Marketing lead amongst priority customers you will support key pitches and selling presentations, working with sales to win new business or develop and deploy activations to grow existing business.  
  • Support key customer growth through relevant and impactful campaigns which drive joint profitable growth.  
  • You will lead the development of operator centric (b2b) content aligned to your operators needs and execute this end to end across multiple touchpoints incl. web, social, email, text and apps 
  • Be the go-to lead when it comes to b2b digital lead nurturing. Design optimum omnichannel journeys and campaigns to drive acquisition, engagement and conversion aligned to business growth targets.
  • You will be proficient in using data from Analytics to inform decision making and action that successfully transitions engaged operators through to conversion.  
  • You will work with trade teams to connect the journey across non-owned platforms (e.g. Trade web shops and e-commerce applications) and provide relevant content to improve presence. 
  • Working with design agencies to create highly engaging content for our campaigns & insights to ensure content is effective and engaging. With B2C customer activations at the heart of all customer campaigns.
  • Budget management and ROI analysis on all activities.

What you will need

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and you are passionate about providing the best marketing support to our customers. You are a strong team player, networker, able to convince, build commitment and support through your friendly and proactive personality. You have a natural passion and understanding of the role of communications and Point of Sale marketing, in driving great leadership through powerful storytelling and creative activations. 

  • Relevant years in Marketing or Commercial roles agency where delivery of marketing initiatives has been included.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in campaigns both B2B and B2C is Preferred
  • Experience in Food Service is preferred but not essential

Personal Attributes

  • Project management Skills and experience - Keen to build skills on project management support skills – to a desire for flawless execution, strong attention to detail and supporting teams on delivering plans with a measurable result. 
  • Creative and innovative thinker / problem solver.
  • Communication skills - In this role you will be working with multiple teams daily, therefore it is important you have excellent communication skills, to manage stakeholders’ relationships.
  • Ability to remain agile, work with ambiguity and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent storytelling [verbal and written] skills.  
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member with strong collaborative, cross functional communication skills at all levels.
  • A purpose-led individual who can demonstrate cultural sensitivity and personal resilience. You’ll have a passion for working with other cultures & an ability to build strong relationships both in-person and virtually. 
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with a variety of people.
  • Passion for marketing excellence. An eye for detail: you’ll have an instinct for creating impactful content.
  • Growth-mindset with passion for continuous personal and team development.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.

Relocation to the UK

Please be aware if you are applying for this role from outside the UK, if successful, your application will be treated as a self-initiated Change Location Outside of Country (CLOC) transfer.
