JOB PURPOSE

Define BU Commercial Plan, Channel Prioritisation & Dynamic Resource Allocation

NRM and Category Analytics to shape and support commercial plans with Country CSP Leads

  • Channel & Customer prioritisation –Channel Strategy, pricing, trade promotion
  • Investment and execution principles to deliver Sales Fundamentals (TDP/ SOS/ Distribution)
  • Data driven dynamic Commercial funding decisions for BU in markets

KPI’s and Dimensions

  • %USG & F4G through de-averaged analytics.
  • GM/UOM (Fuel for growth, Price corridor compliance, TTS, NRM, Shopper Marketing)
  • NRR % improvement (Price & Mix) and GM

Key Interfaces

  • Market CSP and NRM leads
  • BG Commercial Strategy Lead
  • Functions : Finance, NRM and CMI, Supply Chain 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the in-year Commercial Plan with Market teams partnering with Finance, NRM and CMI (S&OP).

  • Data analysis to Shape and define Commercial plan with BU LT  - SPI, GM/UOM, MSI, NRR
  • Recommend Dynamic Funding Decisions across Markets – In year trade offs
  • Review TTI Optimisation delivering improved ROI
  • NRM analysis with specific focus on Levers 4& 5.
  • Promotional strategy recommendations.

Execution -  Define BU Execution standards at Category, Channel and Customer level

  • Identify patterns & principles to support our Sales fundamentals ( TDP/ SOS/ Distribution) and brand development plans  creating a competitive advantage

Innovation and Portfolio – Design 4 Channe & D4R

  • Innovations: Ensure every innovation/ renovation is NRM-proof
  • Define NPD Delivery targets at Market, Channel and customer level

Category Strategy and insights

  • Tracking roll-out and business impact of category management tools and piloting next generation tools.
  • Deploy Unmissable Point of Sale programme to ensure ammunition is fit for customers and channels, right first time.
  • Provide, insights and guidance to marketing and innovations teams, in-line with category growth opportunities.
  • Analyse category performance from multiple sources and compiling trends and forecasts to form the foundation of the Customer Category Growth Strategy.

  • NRM excellence; Customer  & Channel P&L understanding  , Digital Business Commerce P&L, Analytics and Data-Drive Mindset;
  • Innovation mindset; Project Management, Data-Driven Mindset; Customer and Retailer Understanding; Commerce channels execution and digital business models. Commercial Strategy and Business Acumen / Net Revenue Management is a plus. Demonstrated analytical skills with an aptitude for connecting the dots.
  • Effective communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships; comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently; strong proficiency in time management and organizational skills; Collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment; proficient in using Power Point and Excel.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
