- L = Leap Frog: Propel the industry forward with a pioneering, three-steps-ahead marketing model.
- E = Equip: Provide marketers with the necessary tools, market-leading practices, and comprehensive training.
- A = Architect and Activate: Design and implement the new marketing model and changes.
- D = Drive: Foster a unified GMO mindset in support of Business Groups, leveraging Unilever's scale where it matters.

The Role:
This role is part of the marketing academy, which aims to equip our marketers with the skills and capabilities needed to create superior brands and drive growth. By scaling industry-leading marketing skills and transformation-specific capabilities, the academy will identify, codify, and train on foundational and advanced skills, enterprise tools, market-leading practices, and bespoke frameworks.
This role will primarily focus on the marketing transformational areas of social first demand generation, encompassing but not limited to areas of building capabilities in the areas of social first insights, creativity, working with agencies, media, content deployment and optimization and the related Ai & Tech enablers. The role will also be part of the team that leads and produces and deploys our all-marketer events through the year covering all areas of marketing capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with internal and external subject matter experts & BGs/BUs/Functions to codify, design and roll out fit for purpose capability programs for our marketers aimed at raising the skill levels in the focus areas outlined - This includes codifying & training on skills, tools, practices, frameworks and events.
- Work with BGs to complement their own capability programs in the select areas.
- Be the nodal point of contact for 1 BG for all marketing academy work.
- Contribute to larger marketing academy programs where relevant given inter-dependent and convergent nature of marketing.

- Passionate about brands and marketing with a deep interest in understanding the HOW brands are getting built in social and culture.
- Strong ability to get things done leading and working with a diverse expert group
- Have a point of view on what and how things need to be done and be able to influence / lead to make that happen.
- Deeply interested in learning and capability building
- Strong ability to simplify the complex to build compelling and actionable programs that inspire and upskill teams
- Staying 3 steps ahead: Bring the outside-in on the latest thinking and evolution in the areas of work to lead, shape and disrupt how we do marketing
- Focus on what counts: Fewer, bigger marketing capability programs to achieve high impact outcomes for the business
- Deliver with excellence: Deploy with excellence working with BGs/BUs/external experts to deliver cohesive learning in the flow of work
- Care deeply: Strong senior stakeholder management capability and ability to work with multi-cultural, multi-national teams is a must. Excellent team player with ability to balance personal accountability and delivery through teamwork.

Location
In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
