Job Scope:
This innovative role leads the Manufacturing Excellence program for the factory, working with site Managers and the Leadership team to execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance. This role works with the local site Leadership team to achieve improvement and receives support through a central Manufacturing Excellence team. Reporting to the Factory Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual, with great influencing skills to take on and deliver a project from start to finish.
Job Responsibilities:
- Key contact for Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) on site, including introduction of key initiatives that drive performance improvement
- Coaching of staff and blue-collar workforce on site in best practice manufacturing and improvement opportunities.
- Roll out UMS program at the factory, practical application of the program to achieve plant process improvement.
- Provide leadership to the Manufacturing Excellence Coordinators in delivery of Continuous improvement.
- Assist in providing and developing data management systems that enable management of plant performance and measurement of improvements.
Job Key Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (Lean, UMS, TPM).
- 4 to 7 years of experience in a similar role
- FMCG experience is preferred
- Previous experience in leading a continuous improvement/change program.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing process improvement.
- Ability to coach, influence and build strong relationship with Stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in tight deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
