JOB PURPOSE

Unilever provides a Global Health and Wellbeing (GHW) service to its entire workforce, with a strategic aim to add healthy years to the lives of our people, unlocking untapped human potential for our business and our world.

The GHW function ensures the health protection and health promotion of Unilever employees. Within the NALI countries, Unilever provides a hybrid model of health services, with front line care delivered by external healthcare services partners. The role of the GHW NALI Operations Lead is to translate the Global Health & Wellbeing “Power of One” strategy into local execution, country by country, and to ensure the best quality and efficiency of service delivery, aligned with Unilever global standards and processes.

The GHW Operations Lead for NALI will serve as the key Health and Wellbeing business partner to Unilever stakeholders, including senior leadership teams, and will be responsible for proactively driving improved health and wellbeing outcomes to enable business performance.


What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

• Operational Leadership:
• Drive implementation of the Global Health and Wellbeing function’s Power of One strategy across the region, managing actionable, locally relevant deployment.
• Lead resource allocation, budget planning, and operational execution of outcomes-driven programs which drive employee health improvement across the region.
• Implement data and analytics platforms that deliver insights about program performance and leverage data insights for continuous improvements of programs and resources for employee health and wellbeing.
• Continuously enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels through identification and implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
• Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and country-by-country legal requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Ensure all standards are executed as Standard Operating Procedures.

• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the GHW business partner to support senior leadership, country governance bodies, and all other key stakeholders to ensure employee health and wellbeing strategies are fully aligned with business goals.
• Facilitate effective change management to scale reach and impact of all integrated programs and initiatives that intersect with the broader People Plan for countries served.

• Market Analysis and Trends Forecasting: Conduct annual comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats related to health within the region to ensure effectiveness of strategic and operational planning cycles.

• Supplier Procurement and Management:
• Manage supplier relationships and procurement strategies to ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health services that meet or exceed all operational standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for employee health, wellbeing, and health-related productivity.
• Ensure best in class procurement processes to purchase and optimize specialist services related to GHW delivery.
• Identify potential service delivery gaps and risks and proactively address issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Budget Oversight: Manage GHW spend, country-by-country, ensuring cost efficiency, adherence to financial targets, and constant vigilance for cost-saving opportunities.

• Team Development: Mentor and develop high-performing teams, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and excellence. Implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.

• Performance Metrics and Accountability: Analyse all available data to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) demonstrate the outcomes of strategic initiatives. Ensure accountability and continuous improvement across all geographies within scope.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED Experiences & Qualifications

1. Professional Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Health (OH) management and service delivery
• Proven track record in managing global health and wellbeing operations
• Demonstrated success in managing OH service provision, including managing suppliers to deliver against clear Statements of Work and Service Level Agreements

2. Education & Technical Proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• English language fluency (spoken and written)

3. Business & Operational Skills
• Strong understanding of business processes and the broader impact of OH on employee performance and business outcomes.
• Knowledge of service delivery models and setting/measuring service level agreements (SLAs).
• Familiarity with project and operational management standards.
• Solid contract management and supplier management capabilities, including best practices.
4. Core Competencies & Soft Skills
• Interpersonal Excellence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels and settings.
• Influence & Negotiation: Effective influencer with strong negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and trends to support GHW and business decisions.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting to changing business requirements.
• Service Orientation: Committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
