Business Context:
The media landscape in India is undergoing rapid change with the proliferation of digital in everyday life. From how consumers discover brands to how they consume brands, all consumer journeys are now increasingly non-linear and multi-channel.
In this fragmented yet exciting landscape, the Ice Creams team is looking for a media and digital marketing lead who can create the right media strategies and work with multiple stakeholders to lead them to drive business growth. The role spans the full gamut of media and digital marketing including performance, influencer marketing & consumer data. The person is expected to set up the Digital Marketing, Media, and Commerce team for IC business in India.
The role will report to the Marketing Head for Ice Creams in India and with a dotted line reporting to the Head of Media & DMC, South Asia.
Key responsibilities:
The Media and Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop and Execute Media Strategies: Create and implement effective media plans that align with business goals and objectives. This includes overseeing campaigns across various digital channels, such as social media, search, display, video, and influencer marketing.
- Maximise ROI from media: Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns to maximize ROI. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
- Collaborate with Creative Teams: Work closely with internal and external creative teams to develop compelling and effective digital content. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.
- Leverage Data and Analytics: Utilize data and analytics to inform digital media strategies and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. Generate insights and reports to share with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital media and marketing. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve digital media efforts.
- Manage Relationships with External Partners: Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, technology vendors, and other external partners.
- Build & deploy a consumer data strategy: Create consumer engagement systems across 1P/2P data sets and across marketing modalities (121, precision etc)

Experience, and Skills Required: The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the FMCG landscape, the digital ecosystem, analytical skills, and an appreciation of the digital technology and capability landscape. Experience working in impulse categories like ice-creams, chocolates, or aerated drinks is a bonus.
- The person should have 8+ years of experience and knowledge in media, digital, programmatic, influencer & performance marketing
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience working as or with Data Analysts or a demonstrable understanding of the analytical mindset
- Understanding of the use of digital tools in the consumer journey
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across verticals
