We are seeking a detail-oriented MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Parts Planner to oversee maintenance inventory and ensure the availability of critical spare parts for our maintenance operations. This role is responsible for planning, procuring, and managing maintenance, repair, and operations inventory to support production reliability and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels while controlling costs.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Parts Planning & Inventory Management:

• Develop and maintain inventory strategies for maintenance parts to support equipment reliability.

• Ensure critical spare parts are available when needed while optimizing stock levels to prevent overstocking.

• Track inventory usage and adjust reorder points based on consumption trends and maintenance schedules.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination:

• Work with procurement teams and vendors to source MRO materials and negotiate lead times.

• Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues that impact maintenance operations.

• Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers and reduce costs.

Work Order & Maintenance Support:

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of parts for planned and reactive work orders.

• Support preventive maintenance by forecasting parts needs based on scheduled maintenance activities.

• Assist in maintaining an accurate bill of materials (BOM) for critical equipment.

Data Management & Process Improvement:

• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or ERP system.

• Conduct cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in parts planning and inventory management.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Qualifications and Skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.

• 1-3 years of experience in MRO inventory management, maintenance planning, or supply chain roles.

• Experience with CMMS, ERP, or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle).

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory management principles.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions on inventory levels and procurement strategies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with maintenance, procurement, and suppliers.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory tracking tools.
