Salary: 85-95K EUR gross per year depending on background and experience.

Our Foods Business in the Netherlands is our biggest Business unit. With our strong Foods brands: Unox, Knorr, Hellmann’s, Calve and Namdong we are in everybody’s lives and have a big responsibility delivering a nutritious meal on a daily basis.

The Superunie Key Account Manager Foods is responsible for the sustainable and competitive growth of all our foods brands at the Superunie members. You will have an important stake in the overall foods strategy as well as the responsibility of your own categories.

You will report to the Sales Director Foods Netherlands and work closely together with the other customers KAMs. Furthermore you will lead a team of 2 Account Managers, 3 Junior Account Managers and an intern.

You will be accountable for generating sales and market share growth in a sustainable way. It is crucial to develop a strategy for the above designated brands in the Foods cluster in conjunction with the Marketing Managers and Customer Strategic Planners (CSP). On an annual basis: contracts need to be negotiated and agreed with Superunie teams and channels.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
• End to end lead for annual contracts with Superunie headquarters for total Unilever
• Overall responsible for all Superunie retailers
• End to end lead for Plus supermarket (total Unilever lead)
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of 6 FTE
• Develop the customer strategic business plan for their respective categories. Work out a joint customer business plan for their respective categories.
• Work in close collaboration with the Category Managers for the category input, and with marketing for the table/channel plan
• Develop optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investments.
• Manage the customer P&L for their respective categories
• Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement
• Close the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the UL strategy on their categories
• Develop a negotiation strategy with your fellow colleagues in Europe and negotiate the Foods price increase with the Vasco International buying alliance.
• Manage overall levels of Customer Investments for their category
• Monitor Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories
• Act as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever
• Participate actively in the account managers’ meetings, looking at the best solution for the business even if not in line for their customer

Skills & Experiences
• Bias for Action (can do and action/no debate mentality)
• Accountability and Responsibility (performance driven leadership, high delivery standards, courage).
• Able to work in cross functional teams. (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance)
• Strong consumer and customer focus / strong at customer contact.
• Good negotiator: able to influence, also in informal decision structures.
• External Orientation (look outside Unilever; be innovative) and Entrepreneurial drive.
• End to end business analyses.
• Profit and Loss Management.
• Commercial negotiations.
• Project Management / strong analytical skills and well structured
