Job Title: Ice Cream Payroll & Benefits Operations Partner

Location: Toronto / Simcoe Factory

Terms & Conditions: Full time, international assignment is not available for this role and relocation for local and international candidates is not provided.

JOB PURPOSE:

As Unilever Ice Cream prepares to become a standalone global organization in November 2025, we are seeking for a Payroll & Benefits Operations Partner who will be a key architect of our future. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive partner to support payroll and benefits processes in Canada.

This role This role will ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll activities, benefits administration, and compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance and external vendors to deliver seamless employee services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support payroll and benefits operations locally.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and submit data to vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and data accuracy.
  • Address payroll-related queries, including those from former employees.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Maintain documentation and liaise with local tax authorities.
  • Review payroll input data: sign off input accuracy and completeness
  • Manage local Pension & Benefits provider and post payroll reporting.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) and vendor management.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and payroll compliance.
  • Experience with workday, invoice processing systems (e.g., Coupa) is a plus.
