Role Overview
The Global Head of Integrated Marketing will lead the consumer marketing and creative teams at Ben & Jerry’s. You will have the responsibility of leading and managing our consumer marketing campaigns and activities Globally.
You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Integrated Marketing campaigns across our primary consumer touchpoints including advertising, digital content, paid media, events/experiential, and partnerships. You’ll partner with the Innovation, Communications, Digital, Retail, CBLs, CMI, Customer Development and CS&P, and Social Mission to ensure campaigns are integrated across all channels.
Moreover, you will be the primary marketing partner with our activism team to develop and execute brand-led activism campaigns. You will lead the marketing and communications teams in their work to develop and execute proactive activism campaigns and reactive activism messaging.
In the US, you will be fully responsible for development and execution of consumer marketing campaigns delivering fully in all consumer channels including advertising, digital content, paid media, events/experiential, and partnerships.
In this role, you will lead a fan-centric, culture obsessed, and values driven, integrated marketing function focused on building brand love, cultural relevance, and memorable strategies and tactics to drive short term sales, social impact, and long-term equity for Ben & Jerry’s.
As a strategic, executional, and creative leader, the Global Head of IntegratedMarketing will be a key member of the Global Marketing Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute consumer marketing activities, content strategy and development, creative and communications to bring Ben & Jerry’s progressive three-part mission to life in traditional advertising, innovative social media and digital engagements, retail shops, dcomm, social activism, and live consumer experiences.
Champion a culture of inclusivity and equitable practices within the team and across all projects, ensuring diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of Ben & Jerry’s work and culture.
Develop and continually evolve overall digital storytelling publishing approach including content development (tone of voice, visual look and feel, video style, and content pillars) and distribution strategy (channel strategy, platform best practices, dcomm, earned media/PR, and SEO/SEM).
Deliver robust and engaging stories via social, video, podcast, and long form to Ben & Jerry’s fans through multiple channels to drive brand love, loyal consumers, and sales.
Lead overall strategy, campaign, and consumer marketing activities and for Ben & Jerry’s. Including strategy, creative development, and execution.
Marketing agency management including, building agency rosters, briefing, guiding creative development, and strategic media buys.
Develop and maintain critical external partnerships including pop culture celebrities, musicians, NGO/Activism organizations, and businesses.
Identify brand partnerships for collaboration and lead incorporation into future product development and marketing programs to drive brand relevancy and difference.
Manage relationships with key external partners including musical talent, non-profit partners, and advertising, digital, experiential, and media agencies.
Lead Ben & Jerry’s in-house creative team consisting of Creative Director, producers, graphic and digital designers.
Lead and manage a high-performance team of marketers and creatives responsible for executing the brand strategy, including messaging, visual identity, creative campaigns, partnerships, sponsorships, and brand positioning.
Leverage market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the industry
Work closely with the leadership team and cross-functional partners to set company’s brand strategy, goals, and budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 10+ years of marketing experience in the CPG/Food industry or with a consumer lifestyle brand in proven creative, digital thought leadership, brand development, and relevant brand building or management.
- Direct marketing agency management experience.
- Superior leadership, passion for high performance, and desire to be a talent catalyst.Experience being an active builder of a company’s culture and mission.
- Proven record of consistently delivering results on complex projects through strong organizational skills and the ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
- Expert analytical and quantitative skills. Must have the ability to analyze and extrapolate meaning from data, translating it into insights and actionable plans.
- Ability to build and manage budgets with rational and validated assumptions to detail the strategy, tactical plans, projected impact, and ROI and optimize along the way.
- Experience developing advocacy campaigns
Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
