JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth of digital sales channels by developing and executing data-driven, customer-centric commerce strategies. This role combines deep expertise in omnichannel retail, digital platforms, and social commerce to optimize performance across various touchpoints. The person will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage stakeholder relationships, and foster a high-performing digital team culture focused on agility, innovation, and continuous learning. Through strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities, the role ensures efficient budget utilization, impactful media performance, and seamless shopper journeys that contribute to overall business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic & Commercial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of omnichannel retail, shopper behaviour, and digital sales funnels.

Digital Platform & Social Commerce Understanding

  • Familiarity with Digital e-commerce platforms:Omni , Delivery Platforms, Dark Stores, Pureplay and Social Commerce 

  • Promo & Campaign Negotiation:Prepare promotion calendars and proposals based on platform insights and track the performance

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on including Sell-In, Sell-Out, Days of Inventory (DOI), Store Metrics, and other Dcommerce channel-specific KPIs.

  • Performance Media Monitoring: experienced in tracking KPIs Total Media Performance (Views, CTR, CVR, ROAS, ER) and Media Budget Optimization

  • Social Commerce Capabilities: Proven experience in driving sales through social commerce platforms (Tiktok) and understanding to drive Digital Demand Stream (Livestream, Affiliates, Short Video Content) 

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Strong capability in coaching and developing digital talent.

  • Ability to foster a culture of agility, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Comfortable with conversion rate optimization (CRO), Value of Average, customer segmentation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Strong collaboration with internal teams (e.g: brand, sales team, trade marketing, finance) and external partners (e.g., marketplaces, agencies / 3rdparties' enablers).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from any major

  • Professional with minimum 4 yearsrelevant working experiences (Preferably from FMCG Industries)

  • Proven ability to develop and execute digital commerce strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Experience Track financial performance and monitor budget utilization to ensure cost efficiency 

  • Deep knowledge of Digital Platform

  • Experience leading Digital Commerce

  • Skilled in using data and insights to drive commercial decisions and optimize digital journeys.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025. Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course. This proposal is subject to consultation where legally required.
