JOB PURPOSE:

The Customer Development Director is responsible for creating, shaping and executing the sales strategy across the company, leading 100+ distributors across Indonesia, bringing growth & excellent executions in key channels, expanding our feet on the street, nurturing future channels and entering white spaces, managing assets management (freezers).

This role plays a critical part in driving future growth by providing clear vision, strategic direction, and strong leadership to the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create & deliver the channels and regional growth plan for PT The Magnum Ice cream Indonesia.
  • Ensure local execution is aligned with strategic category, country, and customer plans. Lead sales team for perfect execution.
  • Foster strong, strategic partnerships with customers to drive mutual growth.
  • Develop and empower the local Customer Development team to lead in the market.
  • Establish a unified, high-performing CD organization aligned with go-to-market principles and benchmark standards.
  • Deliver annual business targets and drive consistent execution.
  • Strengthen customer relationships to enhance profitability, share, loyalty, and satisfaction.
  • Lead excellence in Joint Business Planning with key customers.
  • Champion the use of shopper and consumer insights to inform strategy and execution.
  • Grow Regional and Global Customer partnerships by managing shared global and local P&L responsibilities to optimize The Magnum’s presence.
  • Identify and develop key Customer Development talents to build future leadership.
  • Lead the transformation toward a customer- and shopper-centric organization.
  • Drive the Win with Customer program and continuously enhance CD team capabilities through Wall’s Academy
  • Strategize and manage one of biggest assets of the company (freezers) to grow the business further.
  • Pilot innovative routes to market and scale successful initiatives.
  • Represent The Magnum Ice Cream Company externally in industry forums, as aligned with regional strategy.
  • Part of Leadership Team in Magnum Indonesia, contribute to business and commercial discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • At least 15 years working experience in Sales: preferably rounded experiences in General Trade, Modern Trade, Omni channels, Digital.
  • Min 5 years in leadership / commercial roles
  • Great communication and relationship with partners
  • Strong and proven leadership skills
  • English proficiency is required.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, proactive, can-do attitude, eagerness to learn and work well in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025. Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course. This proposal is subject to consultation where legally required.
