The core purpose of this role is to support the delivery of great Shopper Marketing that closes the sale. This role will support the delivery of brilliant brand experiences through the Shopper journey to the point of purchase; unlocking shopper barriers and prompting triggers to purchase, positively influencing shopper choices.
This role develops and executes insightful shopper programmes, based on an intimate knowledge of our shoppers and our customers, and in doing so contributes towards the development of strong brand equities, supports our customer’s agendas and therefore enables mutually beneficial growth.
Three key areas of focus will be: 1) Building Brands in store; 2) Category Demand Projects 3) Retailer Partnerships.
Customer Management
Generate powerful shopper insights of responsible category and customers
Lock annual shopper marketing calendar and with customers
Manage relationship with customer for category and supplier advocacy
Actively giving and gather insight to/from customer
Allocate agreed budget to the relevant shopper activation programmes based on channel and retailer priorities.
Visibility
Help to define and execute visibility strategy by category and channel
Design visibility activities and mechanisms, aligning with category and CSP Team.
Ensure all activities meet sales, ROI, omni connection and other KPI.
Co-create visibility playbook for each NPD/Brand together with Marketing Team
Translate category strategy into right call-to-action in-stores: education, fixture, CTA copy, etc
Support in conducting data analysis and provide feasible recommendations and review based on insights and activities.
D4C/D4R
Translate customer insight into D4C/D4R opportunity (pack, activation, price, etc)
Review D4C/D4R innovation together with Marketing, CMI, COP, NRM
Feed inputs based on customer & shopper insights
Capability
Manage sell-out data from customers, internal sales data, and distribution
Gather competitor insights (visibility, promo)
Experience & Qualification
Possess FMCG Trade Marketing experience / shopper marketing / key account management experience at least 3 years.
An expert in Shopper Behaviour, Missions & Mindsets.
A good understanding of Category strategy and levers.
Budget management & experience.
Skill
Proven leading team experience & good negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate across different levels of an organization.
Excellent Microsoft office & excel, able to carry out analysis and interpretation of data.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, proactive, can-do attitude, eagerness to learn and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Presentation skill and conflict management.
