WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Provides regulatory expertise and assessments to R&D project leaders and key business partners throughout the innovation process, across PC USA product portfolio. The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities aligned to the Personal Care R&D strategic agenda and priorities

• Helps to deliver growth of the PC USA business through initiative-taking approach that shapes the regulatory space for innovation and ensures ongoing compliance.
• Works closely with the PC North America Regulatory Affairs team to execute the short and long term regulatory strategic direction for PC categories, leading to the growth of the PC USA business.
• Provides regulatory input and guidance throughout the innovation process to R&D by completing regulatory assessment and formulation review through digital tools for all major projects.
• Responsible for labeling and artwork scoping activities including Mastertext labeling discussions or inquiries and final Marketing Masterlock Document (MMLD) review and sign off.
• Provides regulatory clearance for clinical, consumer, home-use test (HUT,) and sensory studies.
• OTC drug expiration date stability program lead for regulatory input.
• Provide Regulatory input for various digital tools development and their roll out to R&D
• Provide Regulatory input into innovation and compliance.
• Works closely with local and global PC Regulatory Affairs team, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Science (SERS), CTI, Packaging, etc., to assure that regulatory documentation, product safety and quality are fit for purpose.
• Work collaboratively with Beauty & Wellness Regulatory Team on common topics.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

• Minimum BSc, in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biological Science, Toxicology, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• 3-5+ years of experience within an FMCG environment with expertise in regulatory requirements preferred that govern personal care and/or OTC industry.
• Familiarity with US Federal & State requirements governing Personal Care Products including, but not limited to CA DTSC, CA Prop 65, WA TFCA and OTC monographs. 
• Active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions as well as 3rd parties in support of the innovation program.
• Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative, flexibility and persistence and a hands-on approach to results delivery.
• Good team player with agility to be able to respond quickly to stakeholders’ requests.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply argumentation to influence internally.
• Clear and logical thinker with the ability to recognize patterns and develop innovative solutions.

Skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite [Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.]
• Previous experience with SAP is a plus.
• Previous experience with FDA Cosmetics Direct portals and California Safe Cosmetic Program is a plus.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
