KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Payroll Specialist has the following accountabilities: 

Now (before IC Separation)

• Work hand in hand with the current payroll model to ensure the transition to the new IC provider.
• Attend all necessary country calls regarding Payroll, including touchpoints where necessary with P&B, T&A, Finance, Integration, from country kick off to hypercare close. 
• Partner with project teams, the Global Payroll vendor and internal stakeholders. 
•Track progress and provide updates to Regional Implementation Lead. 
• Work with the current country team to capture country/company specific requirements and policies. 
• Perform test activities to ensure the system is configured correctly (e.g. Test scripts, Test execution, Defect Management, penny test, GL validation) 
• Perform a parallel testing phase: 1:1 Compare and variance reconciliation, defect management. 
• Perform Integration validation. 
• Prepare and create knowledge transfer documents. 
• Ensure operational readiness for go live including completion of in country Go-Live checklist and Go-No-Go decision support. 
• Complete Go-Live data validation and first payroll simulation. 
• Complete Hypercare and handover to BAU including documentation and training materials. 
• Contribute to ongoing process documentation. 


After (Post IC Separation):

• To process accurate and timely payroll for country remittance of data to bank through collaboration with finance, reward, global payroll & equity teams (collate inputs, review, process and reconcile).
• Manages all exit computations from the business including voluntary and company initiated exits with oversight on timelines and process.
• Monitors payroll processes to meet legal compliance, Code of Business Practice (COBP) and Global Financial Controls Framework (GFCF) requirements.
• Manages processing of statutory deductions and remittance of data to regulatory bodies for payments to institutions and employees
• To input to payroll systems against new reward cycle, new collective Bargaining agreement, Time and Attendance data / payment related calculations for payroll accuracy
• To process statutory deductions report and remit to finance for pay-outs i.e. tax, Life Insurance, Taxes, Pension, Co-operatives, shares deduction etc.
• Prepare monthly payroll Service Level Agreement reporting (CSR)
• Leads payroll projects and process improvement initiatives i.e. collaboration with IT, Finance etc.
• Prepares annual reports and manage end year processes e.g. taxation, write-off,
• Ensure implementation of payroll transformation project, process change/improvement, adjustments etc.
• Reward and payroll related communication i.e., schedules, guidelines
• Work with the Reward Manager to deliver a successful reward cycle including engagement with the Global Equity team and deliver operational efficiency
• Participate in Reward operational processes and provide input from a payroll compliance perspective
• Manage HMO administration for the business including engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage relationship with external regulatory bodies and external partners.
• Own controls and governance agenda in payroll space – audit performance and participation (internal and external)


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:  
•    University Graduate
•    High Level of English
•    + 7 years experience in managing payroll of (preferably FMCG experience)
•    Good proficiency in HR Information & Payroll Systems
•    Good appreciation of the local pay and reward context
•    Good understanding on in-market Labor Law

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
