ROLE OVERVIEW
The Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) Digital Consumer Business Partner sits at the heart of B&W’s ongoing global and North America social-first transformation, guiding the organization to accelerate and embed digital marketing capabilities that drive consumer engagement and business growth. Reporting into the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) of B&W North America, this role is based in the Digital & Technology (D&T) team, and champions the integration of advanced marketing tools, AI, and automation, while partnering closely across functions—including Consumer Market Insights (CMI), Marketing & Media Capabilities (MMC), senior marketing leadership, and other key stakeholders—to ensure alignment with B&W’s strategic objectives. In addition, this position collaborates with global colleagues to shape and influence the future roadmap for B&W at a global scale, ensuring that local insights and innovations inform the worldwide direction. This role also includes exploring synergies with other North America based Business Units (BU), such as Personal Care and Foods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves as the main point of contact to BU marketing leadership in North America and senior D&T stakeholders, on B&W North America’s marketing capabilities.
• Advocates for the adoption of innovative, social-first tools and practices to secure and strengthen B&W’s competitive advantage. Create and execute strategies that leverage digital technologies, AI, and automation to enhance marketing efforts, including growth or operational effectiveness.
• Accountable for the digitization of marketing, leading the E2E Digital & Technology plan for marketing in the business unit on behalf of the BU CDIO (Chief Digital and Information Officer). Partners closely with CMI, MMC, senior marketing leadership, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing transformation is business-led, actionable, and deeply integrated across B&W. Can lead projects from idea to full launch, and onto value realization.
• Drives innovation for the BU through pilots and collaboration on core areas including social listening, creative asset review, workflow management, analytics, content marketing, knowledge management, and data management, with special focus on enabling B&W’s social-first marketing agenda.
• Embeds a test-and-learn mindset within the BU, developing learnings that can be shared and scaled across all B&W markets and business units.
• Brings forth a product-led approach to innovation, including:
1) Leading business deployment of BU specific or BU tailored products and innovations, working closely with deployment teams to ensure outcome delivery
2) Prioritizing and aligning the plan, outcomes and timelines with business unit marketing leadership across products – including from D&T, CMI and MMC teams
3) Driving local stakeholder engagement, feedback prioritization, and sign-off, advocating for user centricity and continuous improvement
4) Driving benefits and adoption with the business unit marketing team and products, with plan to scale across other BUs – across North America and other B&W BUs globally
• Creates and implements new processes and governance that improves ways of working for GDT and BU marketing function as it relates to Digital & Technology capabilities. This includes leading regular cadence and reporting across the senior stakeholder landscape.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree is required/Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years’ of relevant experience
• Partnering with Senior Management, navigating and mobilizing consensus within a large, complex organization
• An innovation mindset and experience leveraging digital technologies while applying at scale
• Excellent communication and follow up skills
• Integrated Business Planning experience with an understanding of multi-year plans and Implementations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Digital Acumen: In-depth knowledge of marketing technologies for social listening, creative asset generation and review, workflow management, analytics, content marketing, knowledge management, and data management, especially within a social-first context.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of marketing, media, and the unique dynamics of a beauty & wellbeing business
• Innovative Thinking: Proven experience championing social-first transformation and leading change through marketing, AI, and automation within B&W or similar environments.
• Leadership & Influence: Effective leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with an ability to build consensus among CMI, MMC, senior marketing leaders, and global colleagues.
• Project & Change Management: Expertise in delivering outcomes through structured project management and change enablement, ensuring smooth adoption of new capabilities across B&W.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional collaboration skills, with a strong track record of partnering across business units and geographies to drive transformation and continuous improvement.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
